Waste based objects

Harm less brand was born when I designed this series of biodegradable objects as part of my Kozma Lajos Applied Arts Scholarship. The aim was to show the possibilities and beauty lying within waste and to bring back the natural life cycle of objects. I focused on material experiments and product development throughout the year of 2019.

My research and material experiments have led me to choose three waste types that showcase diversity and have the best physical qualities. These materials are orange peels, coffee waste and pine needles. I received the orange peels and the coffee from local enterprises and collected the needles from Budapest's forestry.

I used these materials for three uses initially: I made a lampshade, a vase and a stool out of the waste. I used casein for bonding and created the products by heating and pressing.
