Derengő
My design goal was to create a home object that suggests a non-industrial character, yet suitable for series production. During my design process, the twentieth-century and contemporary reliefs served as the main source of inspiration. Drawing on the examples of fine art, I tried to create a work of art-like balanced asymmetrical composition.
The finished object was named ‘Derengő’, and its light-emitting, curved glass seemed to float in front of the wall thanks to the wooden structure kept away from the wall. The warm white LED is projected on the wall by the glass colored purple-green, and the light is reflected through its opaque surface. As a result of the iridescent film, the lamp provides a different view from different angles.
